Leslie Park is recognized as one of the best public golf courses in the state of Michigan by several publications, including Michigan Golfer. Leslie Park earned a 4 1/2 star rating by Golf Digest and most recently was named the #1 Municipal Golf Course in Michigan by that same publication.
The Detroit News ranked Leslie Park one of Michigan’s top 50 public courses, and the Ann Arbor Journal awarded it first place in their Best of the Best rankings for more than four years running.
Located just north of the University of Michigan campus, Leslie Park was once a farm, orchard, and laboratory owned by Eugene and Emily Leslie. The land on which the golf course now sits, with its vast topography and rolling terrain, was purchased from the Leslies in the early ’60s. Leslie Park Golf Course was built in 1967.
